Help!!!!

Well thats they only thing I could find/ borrow from a friend. Should I go read the voltage and look how much it says? I tried turning up and down the gains and still nothing.

disconnect subs. turn gain down. set dmm to ac. place leads on speaker terminals. turn up gain while playing 50 hz. tone. see if your volts on meter increase with gain increase

I dont' have a 50Hz tone will normal music work with alot of bass work or do I need a test tone?

It reads pretty much exactly 14.4. Its half way between where the 14-15 indicator marks are. When I just have it to the power and ground when the car is running.

When car was running I put it on ac and put the leads up to the speaker terminals and nothing.

ummmm... he definately needs help...

first: DMM = Digital Multi Meter ... what you have is an analog meter. -1 pts for you

second: read the stickeys on setting your gains. -1 pt for you for not searching/reading first

third: you didnt answer about the fuse(s). If the light doesn't come on it probably isnt getting good power...again, use the DMM-- you guessed it, -1 pt for you.

so total - 3 pts, times 16 posts = 48 - your current post count 238 = 190 = bummer---

j/k...

seriously, you need to follow instructions. And understand these guys can only help you if you use your gray matter, to it's utmost potential, and FOLLOW THEIR INSTRUCTIONS!

p.s....Kudo's to Icetee for helping

i assume that is on the positive and ground? that means the amp is getting power. normal music will work. you just wanna know if it is putting out anything. remember to put your meter on ac when measuring the speaker output

I did that and music was playing and I put the leads into and on and around the speaker terminals and didn't read anything I tried every setting I have on the meter. Does this mean the amp is getting power just not putting out any power?

I looked at the fuse block everything looks normal, wouldn't it be if I got power at the amp all the other fuses besdies the amp fuse would be good. I dont' know where the amp fuse is. May be internal Im assuming, I took out the x-card and put it in the same way as I recieved it and made sure it was in tight in the slot. I have been reading the gain setting tutorial I was planning on just using the turn it up to distorn method until x-mas time rolls around and I will get one.

I just have my rem wire wrapped around the post on the amp. the bare wire is going through the hole and wrapped around the metal pretty good. I have already unhooked and hooked that back up twice wrapping it more the 2nd time. Whats everything I should check before I talk to Xavierracing and see if he sent the non-working amp istead of the working one?

Thanks

Did you check to see if you're getting voltage to the remote lead?? I would check that too. If the remote lead is getting voltage at the amp, then the amp fuses would be your next step. Also, make sure you have a solid ground. No paint on the metal, that could also cause it to not fire up. If none of that fixes it, I'd say your amp is screwed.

I put a 50 amp fuse in the fuse block like the manual said, still nothing happened. I will test and see if I am getting voltage to the remote lead If I am what does this mean and If im not? I will also try a different grouding spot or maybe even just run a wire straight to the negative of the battery just to be 100% that it isn't the ground that is making it not work. what do you guys think? DO i just need to check and see if the amp's fuse is blown or what? Would it be smarter just to replace it anyways and see if there is a change?

Please need some help here.....

I dont' register any voltage at the remote lead what so ever. What do I need to do? Something about connecting it to a 12V source? Please help Im really wanting to get this fixed today.

Thanks
