Ok, I just got my new stuff, 2 12" Audiobahn AW1206Q's, and an Audiobahn A1800D amp. The subs will be in a 1 c ft slead box each, wired in parallel for a 1 ohm load, each receiving around 900 watts from the amp. With around 1800 total watts, will I need a new alt, or battery? Can I get mine rewound, and about how much will that cost? Also, I checked out mralternator.com, and they didnt have anything for my truck. Are there any other sites out there? Also, how much sound deadener should I use? And can I go with 0 ga wire from the batt to the fuse holder then 4 guage to the amp, or 0 ga all around?

I would recommend upgrading your alternator. There are about 1000 threads about this subject right now so just search and you will find lots of stuff.

If you're going for SQL, then change alt and batt... it's a good investment... sound damping mat? as much as you can afford... if possible, you might want to invest in a few cans of undercoating as well to enhance the effect. 0 AWG to block, block to 4AWG...why not? If you're gonna go all round, I guess it wouldn't hurt... always remember to fuse your wires when the size of the wires reduce..(at least that's what I read in a lot of places)...

Don't you think a 4AWG would be enough to power your amps?
