Yes they can tear easier than plastic (or whatever) but If you make sure and take care not to get anything around the speaker, it will be fine.

yeah the soundsplinters are a little out of my price range but i do like the assassins price from the things that ive herd about them i just figured that they were like $300

The assassins are their lower line but from the reviews Ive seen and heard, they are worth the $$$

I think you would be happy with the Ascendant Audio. Plus it would be something not just everyone has.
