Help!

Hello, Im looking to buy some 6x9s for my parcel shelf and 12in subwoofer for boot and amplifier to power these and have a budget of about £270. Im basically looking for the set up which will produce the best sound and highest watts for my budget, looks isnt much of an issue although I do like the look of the Infinity stuff. I have a Kenwood W4031 Headunit. I've been looking at the following set ups:

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/4293.html

http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/2862.html

I have a few questions to ask if anyone can help me with these?

1) The price difference between having the better amp of "Infinity RA-7540A 4-channel amplifier" compared to "JBL GTO-75.4, 4-channel amplifier" is about £70 but what is the difference between these amps? is the infinity one that much better?

2) The RMS of the sub and 6x9 match up with these amps but does this mean ill get full power out of the speakers and will they work to the best of there ability? or will i not get max watts?

3) Is there any other set ups which are better?

4) Will all of these set ups work with my head unit?

5) What is the best thing to match up with the amp and speakers, the RMS or the max watts?

Many Thanks,

Luke

1. In my opinion, Infinity and JBL amps pretty equal. I'd take the cheaper one (the JBL + Infinity for 199Euro), but I am cheap by nature. =p

2. Those setups aren't all that bad for being prepackaged. What they offer will work.

3. You might get a better deal if you get all the equipment seperately. Try pricing the same equipment seperately and seeing if you save any money.

4. What's your HU? If it has RCA preouts, yes.

5. RMS. Max watts is pretty much meaningless.

Im going to go for the one you said. I thought the JBL amp and Infinity amp seemed pretty equal anyway and thought with infinity your paying more for the name and image as well. I've looked at what they are sold for individually and the saving is quite abit by buying it all together thats why I've decided to go with that web site. My head unit is the Kenwood W4031 and I believe it has a RCA output.. the white and red connecting bit? I'll check in the hand book!

Thanks very much for your help!

The red and white connecting bit? YEP! Your amp will have them too. And strangely enough, the kit will have a wire just perfect for connecting the HU's red and white bits to the amp's red and white bits. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
