Hi, was wondering if you could help me with a probem with my car stereo. ( Sony CDX-GT300S )

Was listning to my music, a good song came on so i turned the volume up.... as u do. All of a sudden my stereo just went off and it will not turn back on. I thought it was the fuse, replaced that and its not made a difference.

Any help?

is it dimming close to the volume where it shuts off? If so try adding a biggger power wire and see if it stops. Mine did the same thing, and i just added a bigger power wire and and it stopped. Also try upgradeing the ground to the deck. If that doesnt work it might just be the deck.

It's a Sony probably the deck , but i won't rag on ya 4 life here so i would say try a bigger power cable what exatcly are you running?

Which fuse did you replace? There's more than one fuse in the vehicle that you'll want to check.

Sorry my knowledge on electronics isnt up to scratch. The fuse i replaced was the thin red chip looking fuse that clips into the back of my box.

Whats a deck??

Oh and its not dimming, it wont come on at all.

Check ALL vehicle fuses, including any fuse box under the hood. There are at least two fuses in the vehicle (not counting the one on the back of the radio itself) that send power to the radio. If either is blown your radio won't turn on.
