Help With Volvo Head Unit install.

Hey im new here and Im just wondering if anyone has anything i need to know before i install a new CD player in my older brother's old Volvo 940.

I have a prelude and although i purchased a wiring harness for my car i know that you can just cut the stock harness and hook it up to the new head unit's harness.

I was wondering; could i use a wiring diagram, cut the stock harness off, and connect the factory wires to the new deck's harness, or are there things only a professional shop can do that the Volvo install involves?

my sister had a 1991 volvo 740 and when we put the head unit in it there wasn't a wiring harness made for it. So, we just spliced the wiring with the new radio. You dont need a professional to do it.

k thanks, couldnt see how it would be that different. i found a harness online. do you know where i can find a radio wire diagram online? if not i guess i can do it the easy way and buy the harness... save my bro like $17 though.
