I know this get's asked a lot and I did a little searching and came up with no answer to my problems, I get everything put in like I think it should. But when i do the port everyone useually recommends 16sq inches of port, I never come close to it. If I do come close to it by changing things it throws my tuning waaay out into the mid low 20s. heres what I have.

Outer Dimensions

height: 16"

Width: 40"

depth: 20"

port dimensions

Height: 14.5"

Width: 4"

Length: 26"

what I come up with is

4.33 sq ft

13.39 sq in of port per cube total of 58.00sq inches

Tuning frequency is 33.43??

I'm looking to get 4Sq ft net volume tuned to 32hz with 16 sq inches per cube, what am I doing wrong?

What you came up with should be enough port area unless you have very powerful subs on quite a bit of power.

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
