Help with these Ohms!!

I got a question i brought some ppi dcx 122's sub's, and the box says there dvc 2 ohm, but the instruction manual says dual 4 ohm, so i'm confused is there any way to determine the independance of subs?

hook it up to a DMM (digital multimeter) if you dont have one they can be purchased at any hardware store or walmart type stores. but a quick check on the subwoofer itself would do some good too.

Yea, wlamrts go tthem i thin kthe meter 10 bucks, its yellow. like TRow said. On the sub sometimes it says it on the basket or motor structure, GOod buy on thos esubs.

the thing is on there site now it says the dcx124 are 8ohms and the dcx122s are 4ohms

i'm pretty sure that it's with the coils wired in series
