well i cant really look lol, im currently deployed in iraq right now.. i looked at the pictures of an exact amp like man, and the only control it has is gain

So theoretically you could just buy another 600.2 and put a type R on each of them, but you dont really want mids and highs to play through the sub

I say keep the 600.2 you got for now

Talk you into buying a Directed 1500D or something of the sorts, you can get one for >200, and pick up the Type R's and you'd be happy

also i am starting to think it would be better to buy just one amp to run the two type rs.. Like the amp you suggested.. Because then i dont have to go through the trouble of getting a bigger capacitor.. As well as getting a new amp kit and wiring it.

If you get an amplifier that has been used and hasnt blown yet, as long as you hook it up right you shouldnt have a problem out of it lol, as long as everything is sufficient for it

You can check the classifieds here, you can find some fine monoblocks for 250 or less

Elemental Designs Nine.1 which is 1200wx1 at 1ohm and is underrated for around 250

Directed 1500D for around 200 maybe a bit more, bit less depending on condition

And there is plenty others

It'd be the route I go

Definatelly, sounds good.. Not only will that cost me around 400$ for the two 12"s type r's.. AND the amp..

But like i said i wont have to pay extra for wiring or another capacitor.. I already have a ported box for two 12"s so i wouldnt have to buy another box..

AND i could sell my PPI A600.2 to even get back a little of the money im spending on the type r's and the other amp... I appreciate all the help, seriously i do

also the type r's max at 500 rms.. So wouldnt Elemental designs amp you suggested over power them?

"max" and "rms" are completely different, rms is their continuous power rating, as in the power you can send at them daily(or at least what you're supposed to be able to)

There are people with a "type r boner" so to speak who are sending over 1000w rms to type r's in a daily setting

How big is the two 12 box you have, and what's it tuned to? In case you know, just tryin to see what I can do

tuned to? guess i dont quite understand the question.. It gives about a half a foot or so on each side of it, In my grand am 2002.. to give you the idea size.. If you have any specific box suggestions, that wouldnt be bad either.. Like i said, im not really limited on money, its my choice on what i spend money on.. Im just not the kind of person who wants to blow 1,000$ on there system.. I already bought some new component speakers.. Spent about 700-800$ or so total on those.. So thats why im being choosey on what route i go, to do my subs now..

But the idea of a mono block amp, running to the two type-rs, is a fine idea.. Is about the same amount of money all in all.. EVEN if i buy another box probably

and in all honesty, will sound as good and be louder, and much much MUCH easier to work with lol

In case you're curious, this person is offering two 12" Type R's that are New, you might be able to save 30 or 40 bucks if you go that route, if you have the cash right now

Polk Audio db 400 (Door)

Also yeah, i saw those type r's appreciate the link regardless though. Im just watching it for the time being.. Im a little unsure of how well ill be able to find an amp.. Thats why i havent quite bought them yet though.. Though I am also unsure of the 70$ shipping, thats a bit much in my eyes.

What type of box would you suggest, any link to a specific style? I know you said ported.. But an actual picture or so would help.
