Help With Subwoofer Sooo Confused

man sooo many different subs out there so confused....
Yeah, there is plenty out there to chose from. I think if you stick with the woofers discussed in this thread you will be more than happy. Like I said before, they are all quality woofers.

I am a little biased towards the TC-2000, just because I have owned TC equipment before and was really satisfied with it. I have heard those other brands also, but i will stick with TC.

you think ur TC would beat out the RE? or the FI?
my db-500's wouldnt beat out those subs just because what I have is base level. The RE SX and the FI Q both are both superior drivers. But if it came down to the TC-2000 against those subs, I would take the 2000.

The Tc2000 is an excellent woofer, my brother has it and it has great SQ, and real good low end extension. It blends well with you mids, could be a lil better but if you already have some good mid bass this would be great, just set you lpf to 50 hz, and your golden.

As far as the price increase, all you have to do is call them up, tell them what you want but you don't get paid til the end of the month and im sure they will accommodate you. They've had that deadline listed on their website for 3 or 4 weeks now and are always extending it, but just call them

Hi Yenwen. If you want good SPL(sound pressure level) from one 12 inch subwoofer than I would go with the MTX SLH-T8512-A - MTX Sledge Hammer 12" 1000 Watt 4 Ohm Loaded Sub Box, you can see it at:

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=product.display&Product_ID=1540

it costs $550.00 brand new with a one year warranty. MTX also offers a 15" version at 1200 watts on a 4 ohm load, it costs $636. Either of those two will provide ample SPL.

I don't think i'm going to go toward the MTX, JL, or Kicker direction. Trying to get away from the mainstream since it's mostly hype. I used to be a hardcore JL fan then after seeing the DD, and the RE just couldn't justify running with them anymore. Kicker well it was cheap super cheap when i got it.

I think i'm going to go shoot for the SI MAG D2. I just want to know if they'll out compete an RE SX. hahaha
Good choice. I have a 12" SI MAG D2 and can't be happier. But, there is a problem with that choice. There really ain't anywhere to get a brand new Mag. You can wait for the new Mags, but like it was mentioned earlier, who knows when it'll be ready for the public.

non are decisively better than the others?
If one of those were decisively better then the others, no one would really buy the "other" subs and there really wouldn't be any choice but the better one. Also, all those subs cannot really be compared unless we get to listen to all of them, and most of us regular people will buy just one of those. And most of the time, the one we buy would probably get the nod over the other choices even if we didn't hear the other choices. And that's why I thought the Mag D2 was a good choice.

Thanks a bunch for all of your replies guys!! So, I went over to my local shop to talk to him about it and he said that the CVX would do some major damage. and that the SI MAG D2 was manufactured by RE for SI. Are there any reviews on the Kicker CVX?
