Help with Subs and components

So i am starting to get pretty big into car sound systems and i recently got a truck that came with two 10" kicker comps powered by a coustics xm3 crossover and a hifonics isis VII amp. at first everything was awesome, but recently it has gotten where the sound level fluctuates. sometimes its loud like its supposed to be and later you cant even hear the subs. whenever i get down and move the crossover around the sound fixes itself then later starts doing it again. any ideas to what the problem is?

I'd prolly ditch the crossover and grab signal straight from the radio. If that doesn't fix it that old amp might be giving our
