help with splitters

i have 2 15" subs and 2 amps to power them i am going to use the sub pre out on my hu for the rca leads to both amps but my amps dont have line in and line out how can i use splitters from one amp to the next one.

There are RCA y cables, which would take in 1 RCA out and put out 2. But not always the best solution!!!

In this situation, if Y splitters aren't the best solution, what is (short of buying a new HU with mulitple pre-outs)?

my HU already has 3 pre out (front/rear and sub) the front and rear are all ready in use by other amps .if i use splitters i thinki will need 2 sets but i dont understand how they wire up correctly because my amps are a liitle bit apart.

Consider an outboard crossover or line driver that splits the preouts with out cutting voltage. I think AudioControl makes a line driver / crossover combo that will help you out on a lot of levels (increased RCA voltage, high quality crossover, and some signal filtering) Just a thought!

You can easily feed 2 amps with each set of preouts using Y cables. If you need to extend them a couple feet get some short extension cables at Radio Shack.

Another possibility is that some amps have a mono switch that makes the amp only use one of the inputs to supply signal to the amp (usually the left input). If your amp has this capability, run one RCA to the left input of each amp.
