I also have the same prob as the other guy with this thread, i dont have any idea how to do my mid/highs, i have 6.5 slots up front, and 6x9's in the back, i am putting a sx700.4 on them, easy with the gains though. Im debating 6.5comps up front, and plates in the 6x9 holes to fit 6.5 comps, to have 4 6.5 comps. OR should i put some nice 6.5 comps up font, and leave the Pioneer 5way 6x9"s in the rear. Modification is not a problem up front, or in the back for tweater places. Input?

there are many people who dont even like using speakers in the rear, as it takes away from the front soundstage....

there are other people who dont like using 6 x 9 's because they say they dont sound good

if you got yourself some good 6.5 components, i believe you would be more satisfied than if you left the 6x9s....then again, with a good pair of 6.5 comp up front, and the fader keeping the volume going to the 6 x 9s low, you would have a nice front soundstage, and avoid paying for another pair of components...

so i would tell you to install the nice 6.5 components in the front, mess with the fader, and see how it sounds....if you like it, keep it....ifyou want more sound from the back, adjust the fader accordiingly....if you want better sound from the back, go for some more 6.5 comps

just get a nice set of components in the front and i guess if you don't want to spend more money, then just leave the 6x9s in there. then fade everything to the front and when you got passengers you can give them some listening time as well.
