aight so last nite im comin home playin my music and what not and my subs work fine. they sound just as good as they did when i first put them in. So tonite i get ready and hop in my car and i hear this weird *** sound, like my subs are workin but its not hittin with the music, so i turn the motor and music off and i still hear my subs. I have no idea what the hell it could be. i checked all my wires and everything checked out. My guess is it might be a blown fuse? i couldnt tell u if it is or not cuz its pooring rain and to get to the fuse i have to take out my back seats and i dont have the garage space to do it. so what else could it be if its not my fuse?

just incase this might help

car - 02 buick lesabre

subs - 15" kicker L7 (06)

amp - Orion 2500D

battery - 14v

i dont think im gonna be able to crack it open tonite so any suggestions on what to look for would be great. thanks.

look for a ground wire thats been pulled loose some how, thats usually the cause of weird noises that arent music-associated.

And, as for the amp / subs doing stuff with the car turned off; I gotta say: Remote turn-on problems....

Thats where id look first, anyway. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

Are the cones stiff when you push them in?

If it's hard you blew your speakers.

First of all though I would conclude there is something wrong with the amp. If it was a blown fuse no power would be able to get into the subs so I doubt it's that. Thats the point of fuses. But it could be a loose connection somewhere in the amp itself like stated above or the ground.

Yeah I had that issue... DEFINITELY check your remote wire and make sure it's wired correctly and not touching any other bare wire...

its not the ground, i just cracked it right now and the wires seem to be in good shape. im gonna rewire it and see if anything changes. any more ideas on what it could be let me know.
Not the ground! The remote (turn-on) wire... I had this exact same problem.
