Help with slot port turn

I need to have a 25" long port. This port the way it is drawn out right now is too long. However, when you measure middle to middle, in order to get 25", (without figuring in the angle board in the corner) it ends up 1" short of the port width.

Also, how do you figure in the angle corner piece?

u need to angle the actual port board

just shorten that up a lil bit and it will be fine

Could you elaborate a little bit more? What do I need to angle? What do I need to shorten up?

The effective slot port length is found by intersecting it with 45 degree angle with enclosure wall. This is how you measure it, right down the middle:

So I would basically measure it like this (the center line)?:

This is not an exact sketch, but this is just to give me an idea of what I need to do to get exactly 25".

You need to factor in 3.5" for port end correction. other than that yes...

Just to make sure, I add the 3.5" onto the overall length for end correction, right?
