help with set up

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forums and also new to audio installations.

I'm currently trying to hook up a new sub and amp to the existing 4 speakers in my jeep. Ive been doing a lot of online searching but couldn't find the answers i needed.

I have..

head unit- jvc kd-g140 (50w x4), 20w x 4 RMS 200w max

two- 6-1/2" kicker cs 100w RMS 300w max

two- 5-1/4" boss ch5520 100w RMS 200w max

sub- 10" pioneer ts-w254R 250w RMS 1100w max

amp- lanzar vibe 420 4 x 100 Watts RMS @ 4 Ohms 4 x 125 Watts RMS @ 2 Ohms 800w max

-4 guage amp install kit

ok where do i start..... i have a couple questions hopefully they're easy to understand and easy to answer.

1. can I hook all this up to the amp I have? if so how, as in what speakers to what channel.

2. I know when hooking up the rca cable, one side goes to the rear of the head unit where the white and red input is, but then where do I hook it up on the amp, there are 4 different locations to connect them to (channels)

3. since i'm using an rca cable do I have to pull the wires out from behind the radio harness and connect each speaker wire to the amp ( +,-)?

4. Do I need any other items to make this work?

thanks for the help.

1. No probably not. You can't hook 5 things to a 4 channel amp. You would either want to get another amp dedicated to your sub or potentially bridge channels 3&4 to the sub and run two of your speakers straight through your head unit. Or think about buying a 5 channel amp

2. Look up the manual for to ramp, there is probably an option for seperate RCA inputs to all 4 speakers (think surround sound), or simply a way to connect it so that there is a left and right side.

3. You definitely have to do some wire changing behind your head unit but the only wire that needs to run from the head unit to your amp is the ignition wire (tells the amp when the car is on). Power will connect to your car battery and the ground will go to a BARE METAL area on your cars chassis. You will then run wires from your amp to the speakers.

4. Other than that you might just need some tools to get the job done.

I couldnt find the online manuel for the amp. I'm kind of confused in the connection area, how do the speakers or sub on other channels get the signal if I'm only running 1 set of rca's to the head unit?

Is this where i should get a Would y adapter?

Is The ignition wire is the blue power remote wire? Do I snip the existing one from behind the headunit and run the new wire to the amp?

Sorry if all this sounds dumb I'm just trying to understand this stuff lol
