Help With S.I Mag D2

I was just given a BNIB s.i mag D2 15''. Im a little lost as to what type of box would make it shine. the guy that gave the sub to me said it would be best in a ported box. but did not mention size or tuning. if it means anything it will be supplied with around 1100rms. a little help would be much appreciated. thanks.
