Help with remote wire?!

Hey everybody,

Im adding an MTX 12" and amp to my stock headunit in my Mazda 3, I've already ordered a David Navone NE-7V Line out converter.... what I need help with is my remote wire...... I don't know how to wire my remote wire so that I can turn on my amp when I need it, I dont car if I have to use a switch, the best would be if it would turn on when the headunit is on.... but either way, I need some help. Any help greatly appreciated and much needed. Please be in depth

wire it into something switched with the ignition, like the wire to the radio, the cig lighter, etc.

I had considered the cigar. lighter but someone told me something about two much power (voltage) to the remote wire... is this true?

12v is 12v. cig lighter is 12v. remote needs 12v

find a any wire or fuse thats hot when car is on, and cold when car is off. Otherwise your battery will die.

You can pick up a 12v Car adapter at a hardware store, Just cut of the adapter part and use the pos/neg wire for your remote switch and just buy a toggle switch to turn it on and off..thats what i did Just remember to turn it off or your bat will die..Just wire it to the stock cig lighter or open ur fus box and wire to the ignation
