help with RE SX 12"

ok not to get into details but my RE has gotten damaged on the dustcap

i know a recone costs $75 + shipping (and is prolly the best option)

is there anyway i could jsut replace the dustcap? how would i do this?

or could i jsut like order a new dustcap from RE and put in on over the current one? maybe trim the current one but leave an edge to glue to or something
