Kicker L5 or L7

I was wondering if 3 8" L5's are going to hit harder the 2 8" L7's. I was thinkin about gettin some 8's to put in a big *** ported box and didnt know which ones to chose. By the way, the prices of each setup are the same, and i will get an amp based on which setup i choose

I would say the 3L5's would be louder......more cone area, and even though the 2 would be L7s, I dont think that going up a model but dropping a sub would make a difference.
