When you are running two subs that wants 900rms each 1600 peak will an mono amp at say 1000-1200 watts run both subs or are you looking at getting and amp to do 1800 watts rms or better to get 900w to each sub. I guess what I'm trying to ask is what ever power the amp put out will each sub recieve that or will it be divided among the two. Thanks sorry about ignorance just making sure I do this right.

The power will be divided equally among the subs (assuming they both have the same VC setup), so if you're amp is putting out 1800 each would be getting 900. Make sure you know the impedence of your subs (dual 4 ohm, dual 2 ohm, etc.) and what final impedence they'll be when wired together before you pick out an amp so you'll get something that's optimized for your setup.

They are 2ohm duals and they work out to be 2ohm or 1/2ohm loads, don't know if I should go with one amp for both or get individual amps.

I don't know yet I have hifonics subs(Atlas squares) was thinking along the line of maxsonics line up or kicker and maybe even JBL wanted to stay around the $400 price range for amp/amps.

I might add that I have been looking at PG, Massive Audio,MA audio and Planet Audio, Lanzar as well, I just can decide which amp everytime you read something on this form it has your mind wondering should I or shouldn't. Hope to make a well inform decision soon. Thanks
