Help with possible HT layout

I'm a noob when it comes to HT. Thinking about doing a HT setup after I get my TV. Thinking of doing either a 7.1 setup because of the shape of the room. Here's a pic of how the room looks:

I haven't decided which spot to put the TV yet, that's why TV is there twice.

Here's what I'm thinking about doing with it:

That look like a good way to set it up? Any suggestions?

could you move your bed against the wall next to the closet, and put the tv in the corner, where your bed is now?

Nope. Can't get the TV in ANY of the corners. Next to the closet is a support beam- there are 2 of them- 1 in front of the fish tank, and one in front of the dresser.

All the corners either have a beam, or a door. Sucks.

In bed. The couch will be used for football or other events, and it will be moved forward, about 8-10ft away from the TV.

i'd say just go with your primary setup with the tv closest to the closet door, then

it's not ideal, but it will work

i was gonna suggest moving the couch against the wall where your bed is, and putting the tv centered on the opposite wall, between the fishtank and the dresser, and putting your bed where the couch is, but that's no good if you're gonna watch from bed

Can't even do that- forgot to include the door to the back room, which is right in between the fish tank and the dresser

there u can scale down your room, add all the things you have, and then design a system to fit around it for optimal listening

Also, I was thinking about moving the bed like that once the new TV arrives.
