Newb needs advice on navigation system

Looking for the pros and cons of different navigation systems out there and also antenna selection help. I have been tasked by my boss (I work as a government contractor) to pick out a navigation system to install into a Freightliner truck we have. Now, he has three requirements that the units must meet. It must have the ability to incorporate a traffic reroute unit, he wants it to be an indash unit, and he also wants it to be XM compatable. I have researched it and I've come up with two candiates. The Pioneer AVIC N3 (which I have already installed in a few of their vehicles) and the Kenwood G510, if you know of something that is better let me know. I'm comfortable with the AVIC, and used a Kenwood system a few years back but I wanted some outside input from folks that are alittle more knowledgeable than me on the matter. Now, how does the software on the two compare and the route accuracy of both? Things I don't like about the AVIC is that you have to put in the DVD disks to route maps and stuff and map updates are going to be $250 if the N3 follows the same route as the N2 and the N1. Is it free to update the G510? I know it uses a separate unit to house the map info, is it easy to update if it can be updated? Also one other thing about the AVIC that I don't like is that it has those separate disks and those I feel are prone to being lost, stolen, or broken particularly with this being a government vehicle that may not be assigned to one particular person. I know the AVIC can have the safety features disabled, what about the G510??? Also, being this is a Freightliner truck what about a GPS antenna? I know Terk makes a truck style antenna for the mirror to work with the XM, what is there available in the GPS world for a mounting solution like this? I've looked at about 1/2 a dozen truck stops and haven't really seen anything that looked like what I want. All I've seen are the typical mag mount style antennas, and those won't work all that great in this type of install being the entire truck skin is eithor aluminum or fiberglass and it is populated with all kinds of other equipment. Anyways, sorry for the lengthy post and thanks for the help.
