Help! with PG RSD's

the rsd tweeters are just fine. they will get plenty loud.
if the OP likes his music loud then he will need more CLEAN power.
What will clean power do if the tweeters can't keep up with the level of power, they will distort at some level, if he doesn't want to put the bass down, then he should play the other frequencies louder, those tweeters obviously won't keep up with his 15" no matter how CLEAN the power from the amp will be.

if you havent heard the rsd's then don't put them down saying they won't get loud:verymad:

the op may have been feeding the tweet a clipped signal and that is why clean power makes the difference

I'm not saying they are not loud, just that they are not keeping up to his 15", any signal will clip at a certain level, unless the amp is unrated towards the speakers.

if you give them clean power they will get plenty loud and sound great doin it. must i say it again CLEAN unclipped power.

i agree it is hard to get a single set of comps to keep up at super high spl levels but the rsd tweets can get plenty loud and take plenty of power.

I though the RSD's were meant for 2ohms?He said he was running 4 ohms from the Kenwood amp.

How can I set my gains to not send a clipping signal?
do not exceed true unclipped output of your amp...ie use the gain to match hu output and leave it alone, if it is not enough power, then you need a new amp! don't just turn the gain up and assume all is fine
