Help with Orion 2500D

This may be stupid but did you try not using hpf and only using lpf @ ~80hz? Hpf cuts out frequencies BELOW the set frequency... so if you are setting hpf to 80hz, you will cut out frequencies below hpf...

edit: whoops, I didn't see your tuning frequency. Why did you tune so high? I hope it's for comps. Anyway, i'm downloading the manual right now.

set 12-24-full to 24

set hpf to 45

set lpf to 80

set boost to 0

What impeadance is your dd? It might be wired wrong.

I tuned that high because that is what DD reccomended.

It sounded good and it was plenty loud with that kicker amp.

Its a dual 2 ohm. So it can either be wired at 1 or 4 ohm. I have it wired to 1 ohm.

I didnt even change anything with the sub after my Kicker amp blew. Its still wired the same....so that can't be the reason either.

in my humble opinion i bet that is a big difference right there... i plan on picking one up for mine... because it just doesn't have the outupt i expected... my friends 9512 on a planet 2250d.. (with a bass knob) .. almost sounds pretty close to mine..

I don't really think that has anything to do with the output of the amp.

Whats weird is my friend had a Kicker 600.1 and then he got a 600D and the 600D pushed the subs better than the Kicker.

i will let u kno where mines is set at tommorrow becuase i had to play wit my settings for a while to get my sub to sound the way i wanted it to also but i think i finally got it to where i wanted it. i would let u kno now but i just got it set right and i forgot exactly where its set at and plus its dark out.

937DYTBOI i would like to know that information as well...i have my hpf set at 80 lpf at 35 intelli q around 6 on my 2500d. i dunno what it is but i would expect a lot more output out of my xxx 15..

For 1 i do believe your lpf freq is set a bit to high, what does your subs ask for, mines sounded great at 30HZ. I jus kno the LPF off hand at this time but as far as everything else goes i will have to get back at u with. Also what ohm r u running the amp at. To really get the best use out of this Hogg u need to get it down to 2 or 1 ohm because i think at 2 ohms its only pushing out 1000 watts i believe and at 1 ohm it pushes out 2500 watts. Another thing is that you have to have both grounds and power wires hooked up to be ran correctly

try to turn ur hpf all the way down and see what happens and turn the intelli q to half. whats ur gains set at

just to bring this back to life... i was out screwing with my system this weekend and adjusting the HP filter and i flicked the phase control to 180.. and **** it really woke it up... hits tons harder and moves alot more.. maybe you should try that out... my DD sounds great now..

I have two 12 inch xxx in small sealed box and the orion 2500d pushes it mighty fine until the 60 amp fuse //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif blows. I even had to modify the sub box grilles cuz it was hitting it. It didn't blow my mind or anything at 3/4 gain on the amp and I'm running 4 volt outs from my alpine. I"m thinking of getting a rockford t30001bd to get even more punch.
