Help with OEM system

I've got a 2002 Jetta and instead of buying a new headunit and all of the perphials to be able to use my factory amp and steering wheel controls, I was thinking about using a LOC.

I was told by a local shop that the problem with LOC is that they put out 1-2V RMS and that I'd need a line driver too. He recommended that I get the JL Cleansweep.

David Navone low pass oem adapter - up to 9v RMS - around $30

JL Cleansweep - 8v RMS - around $300?

does that mean that the david navone will work just as well if not better? or at least will the david navone work for me?
