Help with new system...

I am putting together a new system for my Land Rover Discovery. I currently have a nice JVC Arsenal KD-AR780, and a JL 500/1 and a JL 300/4 on their way to me. I will be running a single JL 10W6-V2 on the 500/1, and am looking for good sound quality components. I do not know the difference between active and passive, and have tried to do some research on the subject. My question is: I have a $500 dollar budget for a nice set of components to round out the front stage. What would you buy? I need them to be 6.5s and have been eyeing the ZR series from JL.... Any suggestions? Thank you in advance.

I've got a pair of XR650CS and XR650CX in clean shape, they work 100% and sound good.

Why would you suggest these? What makes them better than getting a single pair of ZRs for the front doors, and scrapping the rears? What is the difference between the CS and the CX? Are you suggesting a pair for the front and the rear? Sorry for all the questions, just wanting some clarification...

I'm here, no offence taken! I just have lots of speakers and need money. nothing special about these other than there JL and were there last gen top of the line. The CSi is a mid/tweet and the CXi is a coax. A lot of folks have used this set up for front and rear. They sound good and there quality German made drivers. There specs are still on JL's site.

How do the Hertz compare with the Boston Pro 6.5s? I see a bunch of people have those on here.... How about Rainbows? How do the Hertz compare?
