help with my system

i just recently replaced my stock HU and front speakers in my 91 dodge 2500. i put in a kenwood KDC-MP438U and infinity 3-way 6x9 reference speakers. and left the rear speakers stock. i am going to be putting in a slim subwoofer behind my seat (any suggestions?) my question is should i just leave the rear speakers stock or replace them too? i have heard that rear speaker should be just used as rear fill or it will cancel out the woofer. i just want to know what i should do in the back. and will probably change the size, right now they are 4x10 s wich is a odd size, i was thinking about putting some 5" in or whatever you guys suggest. thanks

i say leave the rear speakers in till you have sufficient amount of money to buy a new set . as far as suggetions i suggets you get a comp set up front(6.5) and a comp set out back (6.5)

your takling about component speakers right? im alittle new at this so please bare with me. and are 6.5's better and louder than a 6x9?

yup components. so make a baffle . and mount the 6.5 comp in the back and tweet along with it and same with front should be good till you want to get deep into car audio!. unless you plan to get realy crazy and stat signal processors equalizer ,active setups. all that will come with time. for now you will enjoy the 4 components . (im hopping so)

ok, well how would it sound if i kept the 6x9's and put 6.5's in the back. cause i just bought the 6x9's. i was looking at components and y so expensive? is it the material they are made of or what?
