Help with my Brutus 1500xd

hey i had the same problem except mine was the 1000 instead of the 1500 its pissed me off at first i checked everything twice and nothing worked so i got mad and said forget it an packaged it back up then i was like im gonna try it one more time and i hooked it all up and it worked i think my problem was i didnt turn one of the gains up but when i turmed it up i was so happy

I already tried the last chance hook up. I turn the gain all the up an down. There is no sound. I am sending it back tommorow. I am going to ask for a new one since I just bought it. The last thing I want is an amp that was broken right off the bat. How knows what else is wrong with it.

I got it to work!!!. I gave it one last try to see if it would work and it did. I cut the end of all the wires and made new ones. Then I hooked everything up again. I like the connections now since they are all the way in. Then It came to hook of the speakers. I look at the amp to make see which ones was + and which one was minus -. Well, guess what my idiot self didn't see that the amp went + + - -. All the amps I have installed went + - + -. That meant that one speaker got + + and the other got - -. Thats why neither speaker worked. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

So I fix the mix up and then turn it and there was still nothing. I was like WTF and looked in the back saw it was in protect mode. So I turn the car off and look at my settings. I noticed I had the gain all the way up and so I put it back down to 1/4 (around 2V). Restarted the car and then I heard BOOM from the amplifier (I couldn't help it since I just read the post in the car audio lounge about it). My subs were bumping again and they got decently louder. Louder then with my Tsunami amp. I can't wait until the XXX is back in stock so I can hook it up to it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

So anyway, now I am stoked that it works and I would like to thank all of the people that gave me suggestions. Thanks smullen for caring to be updated on the progress and I am so glad this amp works. I feel so stupid now though for making such a stupid mistake. I going to keep this on the down low since I am supposed to be the king of how to install car audio components.
