Help with Memphis 16-MC500d

Everywhere I looked all I can find is stuff saying this amp is 2 ohm stable. You guys think with impedence rise and all the other bs I could run it at 1 ohm without killing it? Need help asap trying to figure out what to do Thanks people

I ran it at 2 ohms for 3 years straight. It never got warm and it was just a wonderful amp. But I would never run it at 1 ohm. I'll probably never get rid of it either. I took it apart the other day to look at the guts and that thing is beefy for only being 500 watts, granted it is a real small amp so everything was real close together. But just run it at 2 ohms and enjoy it like I did.

i ran mine at 1 ohm for about 6 months with no problem, until i upgraded my alternator. after that it would go into protect a higher volumes. try it and find out may work for you also, never got hot and did the job.
