ok here's the deal. i'm poor, stupid, and i don't know how to install my system or what wiring i need. i drive a 96' dodge caravan with 200,000 miles on it so i don't really care for anything thats amazing. here's my list of wal-mart sound components, don't laugh.

Bolt 900 watt 4-channel amp

2 pioneer 6" by something...

2 sony xplode 12" subds. - I KNOW I KNOW but its cheap.

sub box hand-me-down from my bro.

ok here are the questions. what wiring do i neeD? can someone make an idiot's guide to how to wire it? (PICS PleeASE)

the only thing i've got is the RCA cable going to the amp and i'm too afraid to mess something up by not getting the right stuff or setting it up wrong.

and remember, i'm poor so i can't afford to get it professionally installed.

Save your money and have someone install it. Cuz if you end up getting enough advice on how to do it, and then end up doing it wrong.... you're going to need a professional to fix it for you.

Why spend twice the money doing it wrong, when you can spend half of that and get it done right.

ok i took some time and after studying the manual, i figured out what i have to do. the only question i have now is, power wise... + and - to bat?

12v+ = to + on batt?

REM = ????

i'm just a little confused on that, otherwise, i think i can handle it.

btw - i got some 10guage w/built in fuse.

amps + and - go onto batt, head units - onto batt + onto something that doesn't have power when car is not running and the memory (mostly yellow) onto batt + the remote wire comming out of the head unit (blue wire) goes onto the amps remote connection... That's it basicly for the power....

bah one last question then i begin the process of installation this friday. hell i might even start it tomorrow if i can find the time. the (-) of the bat gets grounded along with the grnd wire going to the amp? or just the grnd wire from the amp and do nothing to the - on the car batt.

hah nevermind i just found a video online on how to install an amp. i'm 100% sure how to do it now.

first un hook battery before u start nrthing

run power wire(12v+) from battery to amp

run remote wire (blue/white wire) from hu to amp

do the same for the rca's(hu/ to amp

find a screw or sumtin clean it of paint and put the ground in there...

your done...send payment to me beotch

good luck...u mine as well fix your muffler bearings while your at it...j/k...ha ha

well i hooked everything up and i just used my ground @ the same spot for my HU grnd, and well... it WORKED! haha thanks all you guys, now this weekend when i get a chance to do all of the wiring with some lower guage wire (using 10 now hopefully getting some 4) maybe it will increase the sound quality.

yea, i woulnt use the same ground as the hu....thats quit a ways to run the wire if your amp is in the back...if its under 1 of the front seats u should be fine as long as your not using the factory h/u ground...thats a big no no! i would suggest gettin 4 ga as well..walmart has it as a kit for like 25 bucks i think......

if the amp is under 1 of the front seats just unbolt 1 of the bottom seat brackets and stick the wire in there..if it in the back do the same but use the back seat brackets instead
