Help with installation & electrical

Hey guys. I plan on using the Cadence ZRS7000D to power two type R's (600w rms each) and a Cadence ZRS-1502 to power the components @ 150w. I am wondering if I need to upgrade the electrical system at all, or if I will just need a capacitor, or neither?

Also, what is the best route to take with installation? I have zero experience with installing and I really don't want to make a mess of this. Would it be best to buy all the equipment and do it myself, buy the equipment and take it to a shop, or just take it to the shop?

If I were to buy everything I need for installation, what exactly would I need? I am installing the following:

HU: JVC Aresenal KD-A815

Components: Image Dynamics CTX65cs

Front Amp: Cadence ZRS-1502

Subs: x2 Alpine SWR-1243D

Sub Amp: Cadence ZRS-7000D

I'm installing this into an 06' Altima 3.5SE. I know I'm asking a lot. Thanks a lot for any help you guys can offer.

You will probably be ok on electrical with just doing the big three if not a second batt can be added but do not use caps! It isnt really to hard to do installs espicaly when you have help from guys on here so you could probably do it yourself if you are fairly comfortable with it... You will need some 16/14 gauge wiring for your speakers and 12 for the subs... power wire I would use 1/0 from Knukoncepts to a fused distribution block where you can split to a run of 4 gauge for your sub amp and probably just some 8 gauge for the mid amp...

So I'm going to need 6-10 ft of 0/1 gauge KNU and one of these: Knukonceptz product detail for IN-LINE WATERPROOF ANL FUSE HOLDER W/ FUSE for the alt(+) to batt(+) ?

Then, I'd run 4ga to the trunk from batt(+) to amp (+) with another ANL fuse between them?

get this 0 GAUGE DUAL AMP POWER KIT or something similar, ebay has the Tsunami version for $115 shipped or the Cadence version for $100 shipped, etc... any one of those kids will work out good, you'll just need to get RCAs and your install stuff for the headunit (antenna adapter [i have 2 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif ], wire harness, install kit)

you can, most will say yes but for me it depends on the install. Nissan uses a wiring plug that does not interfere with the ability to run a speaker wire to the door, Ford on the other hand uses a Molex plug that does interfere. I'd use either a good 16 wire or 14 gauge.

she's right in that you don't need to. honestly most shops will not run speaker wire b/c they just don't want to spend the time to do so, they just want to get you in and out as fast as possible. personally if the wattage doesn't exceed 100 watts RMS, I don't run new speaker wire. in your case I would run new speaker wire. personally I would take a full day and do it myself or get a helper.

I might just do that. She got to talking about pulling the seats out and that got me a little worried concerning doing it myself. I really would like to do it myself, but I don't want to mess anything up. My buddy's dad is an electrical engineer, though, and he's installed systems before. I might ask him for some help.

Is there a particular type of speaker wire you recommend for the components?

i'd use either Stinger, Knu, American Bass, Kicker, RF, or Tsunami speaker wire in 16 gauge. any other brand I'd use 14 gauge. not sure about your friends dad but me, when I help my friends do an install I just ask to feed me for my time. last time I worked on an Altima they have channel clips under the panels that you can easily tuck wire into. I got a Nissan Rogue and the install was pretty easy. just be sure to take your time and don't try to force anything as that's how things break.
