help with imaging

alright i've got some boston fx6's (coaxial) in the doors of my 00 chevy x-cab and they have almost no high end when i'm sitting in the front seat. when i put my head level with them, they sound awesome. anybody got any ideas on how i can get better imaging besides making kick panels. i was thinking of putting a shim under 1 side that way they're angled up a little more. thanks.

Depends on how much room you have to work with behind the door panel.
