Hey i was looking into going with an 18 xxx and i was wondering if one set of kicker ss series componets would be loud enough for the 18? Or would u think i would need to go with two sets? The sub is going to be ported by the way but only to about 30 hz but im sure it will still be f'n loud.

you must have a lot of money man..those sets are expensive as hell.. 1 set should be plenty if u amp them right.

The more speakers you have, the more cancellation, phasing and time arrival issues you'll have to deal with.

ha ha yea money not really a big problem i been workn basically since i was 8 with my dad and yea summers and weekends saved up that becomes mad $$$ after so long. Aphinney have u had a set? u seem to like them every time i talk about them you have somethin good to say. Its weird cause the people i do talk to about them love them to death but not many people have them... i figured lots of people would want them if there as good as the people i have talked to say they are. Yea i would like to run only one set... but also whats the point to a nice system if all u hear is bomb bomb bomb, dont get me wrong i love bass but i defently need to be able to hear my music two. I listen to mainly rap and the lyrics are just as important to me as the bass.

i was also looking to buy 2 8 inch mid bass subs also the kicker ss series but havent heard any review on those so im not sure yet if thats the way i wanna go.

I ran the SS562's before I sold that truck for a Tahoe...now I'm running the new 05 Resolution RS652's...but the SS were the smoothest we have built IMHO...

i am gettin a set of SS 6.5s comps but my best friend has the 6.5s in a kick AND IT SOUNDS SO GOOD...i was so impressed so i am for sure gettin atleast one set..
