Help with hk4000d

Im currently using a hifonics xx-colossus II bridged in 2 ohms powering 2 ma audio hk12x2s and its loud, but i wanted all ma audio, so i got the ma audio hk4000d, i get it all hooked up and go to tune the amp and i cant even turn it up with out it cutting out, it dont turn off just cuts out sound to the subs, i dont know what would cause this. Im using 200amp anl fuses under the hood, and between the amp and kinetik 2400 in the rear, should i change them to 300amp anl's each, and the other thing is i got a 2ch 9vrms memphis line driver, its only turned up 1/2 way, but i need some help why this amp keeps cutting out when i turn it up, the gain is not even a 1/4 of the way and im running 14.8v-15.2v with the colossus and only dropping to the mid 13's for volts and thats at idel, so just need some pointers on what to do.

what do you have it wired to?

try losing the line driver...does it cut out or completely off?

I have it wired in a 2 ohm load because the colossus is 2 ohms mono, and i tried not running the line driver but it doesnt make a difference, and it just cuts out, doesnt shut off.

try putting a constant 12 volts to the remote wire..

Yeah, just jump off the batt. input on the amp itself.

Well i started thinking with the durango off the amp would turn on but wouldnt turn on fully to bump, untill i started the durango, so its starting to make more sense now, ill have to wait untill tomorrow to try it but thats what ill do. But it thats it then what do i do

np....try the 12volts to the remote lead...it could be that

I got the problem fixed and its louder now with the hk4000d than the hifonics xx-colossus II, and only drops .6v at the max on the same song, but its louder and im very happy with the amp so far, its not as power hungry as i thought it would be. Highly recommend this amp (hk-4000d)
