I need help with deciding what fuse to get for my fuse holder near the battery. The amp I'm getting is a Hifonics ZRX1816.1. My amp wire is 4 Gauge and subwoofer is wired to 1 OHM I currently have a 100A fuse in my fuse holder when I purchased a wiring kit. The amp has two 70A fuse on it so does that mean I need a 150A fuse for my fuse holder? Or will the 100A in my fuse holder work?

It's more about the wire than the amp. 150A is pushing the limit, if not over the limit for a lot of 4 awg.

No point in upgrading unless the fuse blows.

And if the fuse does blow you probably need to upgrade the wire along with the fuse.

FWIW - I've been running ~1500w class D on a 100A fuse for several years now.
