Ok here is the deal I have a set of digital design cx6.5 and a set od dd cx4. I have spots in the front for both

the 6.5s are 80 rms and 120 on music 240 max

the 4in are 50 rms 80 music and 160 max

these speakers ohm out at 3ohms

My amp is 150 x2 watts at 4 ohms rms or at 2 ohms(new alpine amp)

so should I run the 6.5s at 150 each

or wire the 6.5s and the 4in in seires at 6ohms and a alpine rep said they would both get aroud 60 watts rms each

3 - 3.2 ohms is the correct DC RESISTANCE reading for a speaker rated at 4 ohms AC IMPEDANCE. If you wire both speaker pairs in parallel, you will be looking at the amps 2 ohm power rating (since the ratings are the same I guess that part doesn't matter) - and each speaker will recieve half of the total power in that channel. You must have one of those PDX amps.

probably not, since I already answered you question ....... I put in caps the important part, the meter is reading DC resistance, the speakers are rated for AC impedance. You should be fine since the final load will be 2 ohms, I am pretty sure those amps are 2 ohm stable.
