help with friends radio

A friend of mine has the Pioneer deh-p6800mp and lately its been acting up. Once in a while if you would hit a pothole or big bump the speakers would cut off while the sub is still playing, then the speakers would come back on a few seconds later. And now when he turns on the radio the speakers pop and the sub plays sound while the speakers dont.

The speakers are ran off the HU's amp BTW.

Any Ideas of what it could be? He checked the speaker connections and they're all fine.

yes, all the connections are secure. when i went out to my car i turned the radio on and it worked..then i hit a bump and it went off, hit another bump and it came back on..its been on since..im completely lost
