help with dist block and power cap

hey

i need some help with my wiring.

i have a 0 gauge wire going to the power cap for the power and the ground wire is also 0 guage, my mate wired a 4 gauge wire off the power cap +ve terminal which was connected to the 0 gauge wire. the 4 gauge wire went to dist block which seperated it into two 4 gauge outputs each of which go to my amps.

so it the +ve went 0 to the power cap 4 gauge from power cap to distibution block and the two 4 gauge outputs from the dist block

i am going to re wire it know, and i wasnt sure if i should use 0 guage from the power cap to the dist block so it would be 0 gauge from power cap to dist block which will give two 4 gauge outputs.

also i need to ground the power cap and 2 amps should i ground them all to the same point, which is a seatbelt bolt

Doesn't matter where you ground the cap. Everything else grounds in the same place.

Better if you wired straight to the D-block with the 1/0, then ran the 4g to the cap+. You can use 4g to ground the cap. this assumes your cap is relatively close to the D-block, like within a meter.

it's best to stick with the 1/0 gauge all the way to the dist block.

In my system i run a second dist block (the same as a the power block) for a ground then run the same gauge wires back to the ground dist block, then to the power cap's neg terminal and then to the ground. Depending on the location of youre amps in relation to a good grounding point, this may be a good solution.
