As stated, need help with a ported box for DD3512, in a sedan. Planning to have in at the front of the trunk, with sub facing the back seats, and the box sealed off from the trunk. The space I have is: 27.5inch wide, 16 inch high, depth is 12in at the top, and 17.5in at the bottom. The front baffle is slanted, following the back seats. I want it tuned to around 35hz. May be 3/4" MDF with bracing, or 1" MDF.

Questions: 1. Slotted port of round port? I was thinking slotted port opening to the front, same side as the sub. Is it OK?

2. What net volume will I have? By using RE box calculator it says there is 2.5 cubic feet with 3/4" MDF, and 2.3 with 1" MDF. Not sure if that is net volume.

3. Will I be better off facing the sub and slotted port to the trunk so the port opening is not at an angle?

Can someone help with designing the box and port for the space I have? This for music only, no burping.

Thanks
