help with deadening my trunk

i have a 06 civic lx sedan and i need help deadening the trunk

how much do i need? whats the cheapest to get and where to find it? and whats the best way of doing it

do you just put it over all of the wiring? and everwhere or what

and there is a little inlet here should i deaden that as well?

Do not deaden your wires down. That is crazy to even have that come to mind.

I suggest for cheap deadener Fatmat as it has done wonders for my car and if you have a little chedder, then Raammat, which is a good deadener and easy to work with.

If you want really cheap, they say Peel and seel from Lowes is the samething as fatmat. I beg to differ as I have put both in. Fatmat in my car, P&S in buddys car. They are about the same thickness, but fatmat was easier to use...........but does dye your hands purple, lol!

Also I would deaden the whole trunk MINUS the wires and depending on how much you have, do a couple layers and when laying it down, peel some away and put it down slowly and make sure you have all the necessary tools for it. Also make sure you clean it down real good, which looks like you already did, lol!

ok cool ya i have not deadend before so i am a noob at this.

how much do you think ill need?

and what are the necessary tools just a razorblade and something to smooth it with?

razor blade, roller, and a heat gun is good to have. I used eDead myself and it was pretty good for me. I used had 40sq ft and did 2 layers on my trunk base,lid,rear deck, headliner, license plate and part of the doors and still had plenty left over on an 03 hyundai elantra.

you take off the rear dekc and do it, kinda a pain on your civic. Do not cover up those holes some have had bad pressure issues due do doing that.

You seem to be getting alot of suggestions on what deadener to use, i say let results speak for themselves
