Help with cooling fans...

Just run yourself a dedicated 12v source, switched or not. (If it isn't a switched source, you will need a switch installed in-line). The way I have seen it done is to use a fuse-tap. Seems to work pretty well.

If you are just running 1-2, you can probably get away with tapping into your remote wire. The above was if you want to run all 4, as that may be too large of a load on just 1 remote source.

Yeah you can do that....wait......you mean run the power and ground to their sources, then run one wire to your remote terminal, correct?
Right, that's what I was thinking...but which wire do I run to the remote terminal on my amp? Sorry for the ignorant questions, I'm just not very knowledgable on stuff like this...

Post some pics of what you got.
here you go...

you can cut that plug off and hardwire it, I personally would use a relay, they are cheap like 7 bucks c;mon now man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. I also would use a fuse tap ( less than a quarter lol )

also you can hook them up either way, red to remote and black to ground or black to remote and red to ground, only thing that will happen is it will spin the other direction. You should position them so you have 2 pushing and 2 pulling probably

So do you think if I run 2 to one remote source(my amp), I won't have any issues?

If I end up using all 4 I'll definitely run the push-pull method. As of right now I just need a quick fix for a comp I have tonight. When it gets really hot here, my Sundown 1500D likes to go into protect after about 4-5 2second burps at .5ohm...with a fair amount of distortion as well.

The amp is under my driver's seat, so I was able to raise it 3/4" with some MDF going along the two sides of the amp, and I want to throw these fans in today just to get some reassurance.
