Hi everyone new to this site, but not new to car audio. All my stuff got stolen a few weeks ago, so now i got some insurance money to spend. I had an SPL setup I did USAC comps with, but now I want to go for more of an SQ/balanced set up.
I used to have the Xtant components the ones that where made by Morel and LOVED them. But one of the coiled went bad, so I went to some bostons, which I loved, but not as much as those Xtants.
I have been listening to all sorts of components in different shops and the ones I like best so far are the Alpine SPX-137R, and the Morel Tempo 5.
I guess I can only really answer the question which one sounds better, but I was trying to gather as much info as I could about the 2 from anyone who may have any experience with the 2.
I have a ford Expidition and I will glass some kick pannels for them. Running an Eclpise CD7000 deck, the amp I am undicided as well. Tossing around a 2ch Nakamichi or a 2ch Zapco reference, but the amp i need some real help with. I just want a nice clean warm sound for listening to mostly rock and metal. Any suggestions or ideas I am all ears, espically for a good 2ch higher end amp.
