Help With Component Wiring

I have a 97 Z3 with a 2"mid and 1" tweeter in the door, and 5.25 in the kick panel. These are all wired separately out the factory amp. I am replacing with Alpine amp and Phoenix Gold speakers and need to know how (if possible) I can combine 1" with 5.25 and use as 1 channel of the amp.

buy some three way crossovers!

so you want to downgrade to one woofer and one tweeter?

you need to power them separately. cannot use factory amplification.

 

the factory amp likely includes active crossovers.

That easy? Ok, my next problem is the wiring diagram on the factory amp, I can't figure out which wires are in/outs, diagrams I find have color codes that don't match what i have. Most of them are for the HK systems, which were two amp set-ups.
