Help with Clarion Deck (DXZ835MP)

okay ppl I just got my DXZ835MP and it has been running great.

the one big problem now is the playlist! I've made my mp3 cd so that all the mp3 are in the root folder including the playlist. I've made the playlist with winamp and WMP. I have extentions .m3u and .asx on the cd. But everytime I go playlist mode, it detects no playlist! I need to get this working and was wondering if anyone has any experience with clarion deck and how im suppose to burn/create a playlist. thanks!

oh and another question. My deck's colour is silky white. But when I turn on the headlights, the deck has a tint of green. I know its because I need to distribute the power throughout the car. I was just wondering if I replaced the battery, will it fix the problem. Thanks again!

I will hopefully be able to help you out with this in a couple weeks My DXZ835MP is on it's way to my house as we speak. Can't wait to get it installed. Besides the issues you spoke of, what do you think of the head unit? Is the color changing feature hard to use?

I own the DXZ835MP and havent tried to use a playlist yet, i just use a program called A.F.5 Rename your files 1.1 it's free and simple to use once you get the hang of it, took me about 2 minutes to learn. If i want a playlist i have it put a number in front of the filename, you can do it with a group of files and just move the file up or down in the list according to how you want it ordered, hit rename once you like how the filenames look and your done. If you want to shuffle then you just do random play. I assume that you have looked in the manual about playlists? I would offer more actual help rather than giving you a way around it, but i have no experience or knowledge with playlists, sorry.

As for the color changing, it's REALLY easy you can choose from a list of probably a dozen pre-made colors or make your own. You just set the values of red,green, & blue from 0-8 if your doing a custom color. Just look in the manual for what you have to push to get to the screen. I dont think it could be any easier to configure a custom color.

yeah I just got the deck a few days ago and I personally think its a great deck (for $199US). For the color changing feature...like the post above...it can't be any easier...there is just this one button that you press and it will change the colors. Deck is great overall and haven't had a problem with it.

I figured how to get the playlist working. You are suppose to burn the mp3s onto the cd first...and then with winamp/WMP you add the mp3s from your cd directory and then create your playlist. Afterwards you burn it back to the cd.

The deck seems abit complicated to configure at first, but you will get use to it and realize that there isn't that much to configure afterall.
