HELP with choosing components

Speakers are the last piece of the puzzle to my new system in my E36 and I need some help picking out some 5.25'' components.

Heres what I have in mind so far:

CDT Audio CL-S50A

Phoenix Gold RSD 5CS

Cadence Momemtum MMX-5

They will be powered by a Phoenix Gold QX 4150 Amplifier - 4 channel

60Wx4 @4ohm 14.4V

Also, as of now, I was planning to remove speakers from my rear fill to allow bass penetration into cabin. This a good move or should i have some rear fill?

~$100. Maybe more, if im not getting rear fill. Think I should be spending more?

I can get those Phoenix's for $75, CDT's for $100, Cadence's for $60.

I could also get some old MB Quart Q line components (Qm 215.03cx) used.

Dont get the Cadence MMX-5. I bought them, hooked them up and was very dis-plaesed with them.......they werent plesant to my ear, tweeter wasn't exactly smooth and mids weren't as accurate as I would like. PG RSD seems to be the budget forum boner so i'd suggest those.........i am considering buying some for my dads truck.

Slow down with the rec'd, we don't even know what this has to blend with.

On the same note, it is super easy to fit 6.5" drivers in an E36 so I wouldn't run 5.25's and definitely don't buy rear fill. It will do nothing for that car but ruin the soundstage. I used to drive an E36 myself.

yah ive heard 6.5's fit in the kick panel's of coupes but i also heard the kick panels to sedans were a little smaller? how easy would this be to fit and would i have to make a baffle? 6.5's will be a good improvement over the 5.25's?

the rest of my system:

CDA-9855

12'' TC-9

Cadence ZRS-8 amp

+ and that phoenix gold amp to power the components

i was thinking of running active with my cda-9855 and have been kinda lookin into DIY components maybe? any suggestions?

m5, u also know anything bout making custom sub boxes to fit the ski passes in the trunk?

I had 6.5's in my E36 sedan, super easy. IIRC same kickpanel as the coupe, but I have only worked on sedans anyway.

As for the substage, that car loves IB and can also deal with a ski pass. It really depends on what you are looking for.

thanks m5.

i looked into the 6.5 deal and ill just need to cut the sheet metal a bit correct? man those kick panels are kind of a pain in the *** to remove at first, i did it yesterday just to take a look at what i had to deal with.

as for the ski pass box, most people direct the sub towards the ski pass and front of the car. u know the benefits between directing the sub towards front or rear of the car? and does a ported box affect that?
