Help WIth Budget System

Hey guys, i just got my first car a 2004 neon. Not exactly a chick mobile but it runs.

Im looking to put a modest system in it, I was wondering if you guys could offer me some suggestions,

All i want is a deck that has an input for Mp3 players, some descent sounding speakers and a small sub. Is that possible for 300 to 350$

Ive been doing some research and trying to price stuff out but im totally lost.

Thanks

jk Elemetal Designs is kinda cheap but i dont know about the $300 price range

Their 6000s compnents are good, i picked them up from a Forum discount on their website for 95 bucks

You could definitely do a head unit, speakers, small single sub, and an amp along with wire for $400 if you did the install yourself. I just did a system in my fiancees car with nice equipment for around your budget, only I used factory cd player, you could rework your choices and include a head unit easily.

10" custom built sub $140

used phoenix gold x400.1 $100

knukonceptz 8awg wiring kit $25

new alpine type s coaxials $50

custom box $50

This totals up to around $350. You could spend less on a sub and have money to buy a cd player. Just look for good deals on the classified section here.

Bro save your money and buy something better. Don't rush your build bro If you can spare $150 a month in 5 months you can buy a really nice setup that will have people forgetting you have a neon lol nah but you can have nice setup.

You can get 10" Alpine Type E 4ohm svc for 55 a piece on onlinecarstereo.com

Wire these down to 2ohms and you can get a decent amp for about 150.00 that will power them.

Do the install yourself. You will learn a lot and save money.

Used gear is your friend.

With that kind of a budget you're going to most likely have to buy used and you're definitely going to have to do the install yourself or get someone to install it for free.

If you want used.. I could sell you an amp and HU for 240$ shipped, and that leaves you 160$ for a sub, and new speakers.

You could get a Type R for like 100$ used on here, or this guy http://www.edesignaudio.com/product_info.php?products_id=773

The offer is up there, you can PM me for details if you like. But that really doesn't leave you too much money for anything else.

But 400$ is a pretty realistic budget, just buy used //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
