i am using 4 gauge wiring. as soon as i hook my negative lead back up to battery my fuse blows between the alternator and the battery. i went threw 2 60 amp fuses. help me

Is it blowing with the car off? If so you have a serious short somewhere. If it is only blowing with the car on it is probaly because all the current from the alt is flowing throughthat wire and fuse to get to the rest of the car. 60A isn't a whole lot of amperage. You can go as high as 150A on the 4ga and I would suggest doing so.
