And no I don't mean the winged kind! I will be running roughly 4-5k in a 97gtp and I currently have a decent stock bat up front and a stinger SPV70 in the trunk. Also I have the stock alt until someone wants to trade me one for my SHW //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif I'm curious on how many and what size of batteries will I need to run my cliff 4800.1 safely at either .5 or 2 ohms. Specs claim 5200 at .5 ohm but I'm not expecting to see that much power to be honest. And for the curious minds out there it will be pushing 2 audiopulse axis 12s.Thanks in advance for any USEFUL input.

Let's say just for arguement sake its a 250 amp alt because I do not plan on starting the new build till I have one. With that and the big 3 under the hood what kinda of battery power would I need to invest into?

250 is still small but way better than stock. TRUE DEDICATED amperage for the system will be around 100-130 amps from ur alt. so with that being said you will need about 4 c and ds for daily and maybe 2 for burps.around 500 ah of battery power in other words

I really wish I didn't sell my other 5 stingers now but I never planned on going this big //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif guess that's what I get for hanging around here to long

ideally you want the same amperage as wattage for a rough "rule of thumb"

5krms = 5kamps worth of battery. for example, a pair of kinetik 2400's in the back with a small battery under the hood.

however, 5k @ .5 or god forbid .2 ohms is a LOT of strain on a single alternator for that much power, i would reccomend going overkill on the batteries if you are running a single 250amp alty

That was 2 ohms I don't think cliff could hold .2. I was just looking at my options for 2 quad 1 ohm drivers and it looks to be either 8, 2, or .5 (correct me please if wrong) and I might be able to get away with the 4K or so it should put out at 2 for daily driving. I also don't know a whole helluva lot about box rise and things like that so maybe .5 would be closer to 1 ohm after alls said and done?

Check out this video. Its pretty basic, but should give you an idea of how much battery capacity you'll need.
