Help with annoying speaker static

im not sure if i just haven't noticed it, but lately ive noticed a 'shhhhhhhhh' static like sound during songs, it starts doing it as soon as the song starts and stops when the song does. it also gets louder as you turn up the volume.

ive got two 6.5 infinitys in the front and kenwood 6x9s n the back all powered by an alpine headunit.

anyone know whats going on? headunit problem maybe, or grounding?

does it make the noise when the hu volume is on zero? if so check your amp ground

there is no amp powering the speakers and there is no noise at zero volume. also, i just tried some other speakers. all do the same thing so its not the speaker.

your HU probably just has noise to it. i dont know how to fix the problem, but i am pretty sure that is what it is. i have encoutered the same type problem on some of my cheap home audio systems.

ground the headunit to a solid piece of metal on the chassis and see if that will help
